This is similar to the Kranjan that attacked Desa, Alan and Luray in the wilds along the Lhar. This one is full grown as was the one they encountred. They live about 400 Earth years, thus this could not be the same one they encountered.
The danger posed by these animals cannot be over-emphasized. This picture was recovered from a camera found after the fact. No trace of the photographer was ever found and it is presumed he lived about three seconds after this picture was taken.
